Arina is an honest, transparent and trustworthy registered psychologist, who is passionate about being that supportive person to guide you through life’s challenges.

Arina has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of self-harm, suicidal ideation and Borderline Personality Disorder. She adopts an eclectic approach to therapy, in which she combines multiple orientations such as attachment, cognitive-behavioural and dialectical behavioural therapy, tailoring modalities to help each client achieve their goals.

As part of her PhD, Arina was trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, which she applied with adolescents and young adults with chronic self-harm and suicidal ideation. More recently, she has worked with the child and youth population and their family and carers and has developed an interest in working with families to improve their attachment and relationships.

Arina has extensive experience working in a variety of settings, including at hospitals, university counselling services, non-governmental organisation and governmental agencies, in both corrections and health.

She has also supported individuals and families by conducting psychological assessments and interventions for a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, grief, anger outbursts, self-identity confusion, familial
discord and relationship difficulties, among others.
